Our Leadership Team here at Assisted Living Service, Inc., go on home visits as part of our Quality Assurance Program. These visits can be such a rewarding part of my day. I often go unannounced and I frequently come upon situations that really impress me. On a recent home visit, I had the pleasure of seeing that one of our caregivers, Patience T., was in the midst of preparing a huge luncheon for our client and 12 of the client’s guests!
Patience was proud of the fried rice, fresh vegetables and eggplant parmigiana dishes that she had just finished preparing. The sight and smell was delightful.
On that visit, I discovered something I had not known about Patience: in her native country of Ghana, she owned a restaurant and catering business. Now she’s putting those talents to work for our home care clients here in Connecticut. Way to go Patience!
