I’m proud to announce that TEAM ALS (including Sonny the therapy dog) hit the road and raised money for Dementia Care!

This past Sunday September 30, 2012 there were multiple walks organized across Connecticut in an effort to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association and to raise awareness about the disease.

Assisted Living Services, Inc. had it’s own team which was organized by team captain Mary Scagliarini, RN.  Mary did an excellent job motivating team members to set up websites and work with contacts to raise almost $1,500 for this noteworthy cause.

The money raised will go towards funding research to help find a cure and to support programs for caregivers. Our team members had a wonderful morning mingling with several hundred fellow supporters at beautiful Lighthouse Point in New Haven.

It was great that our agency staff and managers had the opportunity to show support and help raise funds for the Alzheimers’ Association. In fact, we care for many clients affected by this disease and see first hand the impact it has on patients and their families.  Thanks again Mary! We couldn’t have done it without you.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
