Assisted Living Services, Inc.’s Caregiver Hero Awards

Each month we recognize Assisted Living Services, Inc. employees who go over and above to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. We visit each personally at a client’s home, or invite them to the main office to present them the award and a $100 bonus. This is part of our Quality Assurance Program. Join us in congratulating this month’s caregiver heroes.

Christine Ohene has been a Live-In Companion for Assisted Living Services, Inc for nearly 5 years, and for the majority of this time, she has helped Mrs. O stay at home vs. going in a nursing home.

When we visited Mrs. O’s home to give the award, you could just feel the love tha she has for Christine and all that she does to keep her safe and comfortable in her home.

Mrs. O looks at her with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes – Thank you Christine for making such a difference in someone’s life.

Naa Addo Adoley “Esther”

Naa Addo Adoley, or as we love to call her, “Esther,” has also been with us for about 5 years.  She has been on many different assignments as a Live-In Companion and no matter how challenging, she has always been a superstar!

We have always received calls from family members who tell us heartwarming stories.  Esther has a very natural ability to work with families in “crisis” and even helps them through the most difficult times when their loved one passes away.

Esther is also a very accomplished cook. On one of her assignments a few years ago, the client had a private “chef” that would come regularly and share his knowledge and expertise with Esther. She uses those skills every day to make the most nutritious and delicious meals for her clients.

Akuamoah “Kwame” Ntansah. “Kwame is outstanding. He is the best caregiver we could ever ask for. I don’t know what we would do without him.” This is the kind of thing Mr. H. and his family have to say about this Live-In Companion and the care that he has provided Mr. H for the past few years.  Mrs. H always worries when Kwame takes a break – because he is “irreplaceable.”

Kwame has cared for Mr. H since August 2010. His exemplary work is demonstrated by his dedication & compassion to the needs of both his client & client’s wife who also resides in the home. He is mindful of the benefits of both physical activity & mental stimulation and continually works with his client. He is a “god-send!”

Congratulations once again to our 3 Caregiver Heroes for this month!
