Connecticut Senior Care Social Media Seminar a Success

Social media, social networks, and on-line communities are transforming the way companies communicate and engage with customers and prospects.  Most business experts agree that companies in every industry need to embrace social technologies or risk facing irrelevance – and senior care is no exception.

Today we had the opportunity to bring together a group of senior care providers to learn how to improve each of our respective businesses and benefit the industry as well as those in need of homecare services.  We learned from Brian Geyser, APRN-BC, MSN who is a clinician, consultant, and owner / founder of Carenetworks.com, some of the most important aspects of social media.  The group discussed Facebook, Blogging, Website enhancement, YouTube, and LinkedIn.  The event was sponsored by Assisted Living Services, Inc. and  attendees included a Geriatric Case Manager, Director of a Senior Center, Leadership of Assisted Living Communities, a representative of an elder law practice and others with some degree of senior care involvement.  Hopefully, we can use this as a springboard for future seminars on this topic.  Thanks Brian – your really are an expert in this field! Here’s a video that was shown during the seminar:
